The Amphenol HelioFuse encapsulated in-line solar pv fuse makes it easier than ever to add fault protection to your solar modules, panels, and arrays. The HelioFuse is designed to plug into your solar module H4 connectors or your H4 extension cables. The fuse has a male connector on one end and a female connector on the opposite end. The weather tight housing prevents rain and moisture from leaching into the fuse connection. Not only is overcurrent protection required by the National Electric Code, it's a system component that you do not want to overlook. If installing breaker enclosures or fuse enclosures is difficult due to your specific installation type, these in-line fuses are perfect. They can be installed in no time and give you the peace of mind that your equipment is protected. They are perfect for small remote systems, campers, RV's, and marine installations. In the event of a ground fault or short that blows the fuse, you simply remove the entire device with an H4 disconnect tool and replace it with a brand new fuse. We recommend installing the fuses on the DC Positive (+) wires of your panels.
